the Doc Arnette Investment Challenge (DAIC)

About The Challenge

Don Arnette Investment Challenge is now working with High Schools in the U.S. begining in the Dallas, Metropolis with schools such as Cedar Hill, Duncanville, and Desoto High Schools. Teachers, Parents, Communities and their students will have an opportunity through their participating high school(s) to participate in this life-changing opportunity. Top-Performing Youth will be entered into an opportunity to compete for Dr. Arnette's scholarship which will be awarded at the end of the DAIC.

About DAIC

The CHALLENGE has provided hundreds of students with a unique opportunity to take an active role in their education and personal development. Students are able to be introduced to the financial industries as a potential employment option after high-school or even as a hobby. Students work in teams practicing leadership, organization, negotiation, and cooperation. As they work to grow their ,000 virtual cash accounts into a top-performing portfolio, they develop strong interests in the daily events that shape our world and barely realize how much math, business, economics, language arts and social studies they're learning. With partnerships like that of Edward Jones and other Financial Sectors and Organizations, licensed financial advisors speak with the students during 3 stages of the challenge:

  • INTRODUCTION LEVEL
  • MIDDLE DEVELOPMENT
  • END CYCLE

Our Financial Experts introduce our aspiring students to the Stock Market:

  • REVIEW TERMS
  • TERMINOLOGY
  • CONCEPTS
  • INVESTMENT STRATEGIES AND TYPES

During the DAIC, student teams compete and are ranked against each other. At the conclusion of the program, all participating students are eligible for The Dr. Donald Arnette Scholarship.

About The Scholarship

THE DR. DONALD ARNETTE SCHOLARSHIP is provided not only by Dr. Arnette and participating supports and partners. Students are selected based on essay submission and team performance. Top performing students will be placed in review for the award and selected at a ceremony to take place following the end of the DAIC Program.
